BMW E39 M5 Wheels

The E39 M5 is the benchmark for every sports sedan that followed. The S62 4.9-liter V8 was derived from the McLaren F1's engine program, producing 394 horsepower through a six-speed manual transmission and a chassis that set the standard for steering feel that modern electric racks are still chasing. The factory Style 65 wheels are one of the most recognizable wheel designs BMW ever produced -- cast aluminum split-spokes that look timeless and weigh accordingly. The E39 M5 uses a 5x120 bolt pattern with a 74.1-millimeter hub bore -- the standard BMW fitment of its era, shared with the E39 540i but not with the E38 7 Series. The offset is specific to the M5's wider track and the clearance requirements of the large single-piston sliding calipers. The rear arches are subtly flared compared to the standard E39, and the offset must fill the arch without rubbing the quarter panel lip under compression. Our offset is measured on a real E39 M5 chassis. The wheels are hub-centric to 74.1 millimeters with no centering rings required -- they bolt to the factory hubs the way the factory wheels bolt to the factory hubs.
