BMW E60 M5 Wheels

The E60 M5 is the only M5 to house a V10 engine. The S85 is a 5.0-liter naturally aspirated masterpiece derived from BMW's Formula 1 program, producing 507 horsepower at 7,750 RPM and screaming to an 8,250 RPM redline through a sound that no other M5 before or since can replicate. The factory wheels were 19-inch cast or forged units depending on the spec, and the E60 chassis -- with its heavy V10 over the front axle, its SMG transmission, and its hydraulic steering rack -- is one of the most demanding M cars to fit wheels to correctly. The brake calipers are massive. The offset is specific. The wheel must clear the strut, the caliper, and the fender simultaneously.

The E60 M5 uses a 5x120 bolt pattern with M-specific offset that accounts for the widest front track of any E60 variant. The front brakes use large six-piston calipers that demand significant spoke-to-caliper clearance. The rear arches are rolled from the factory but still require precise offset to avoid rubbing under the compression loads that the V10's torque places on the rear suspension. Our offset is measured on a real E60 M5 chassis, through the full steering lock range and suspension travel, with the factory brake package accounted for. The wheels bolt directly to the hubs.
