The F20 five-door and F21 three-door 1 Series hatchbacks are the last rear-wheel-drive 1 Series BMW ever built -- the generation after which the platform switched to front-wheel drive. The M135i and M140i are the performance flagships, powered by the N55 and B58 turbocharged inline-six engines making between 320 and 340 horsepower from the factory. These are the European-market hot hatches that never made it to North America, and they have become some of the most sought-after modern BMWs for enthusiasts who want the practicality of a hatchback with the drivetrain of a proper M car. The factory 18-inch wheels are cast, and a forged monoblock upgrade drops significant unsprung mass from a car that already weighs less than 1,500 kilograms.
The F20 and F21 share identical wheel fitment. The 5x120 bolt pattern and offset account for the wider track of the M135i and M140i, the large M Sport brake calipers, and the fender clearance under compression. The hatches use a multi-link rear suspension and a double-pivot front strut that requires specific spoke-to-caliper clearance. Our offset is measured on a real F20 M140i chassis through the full steering and suspension range. The wheels sit flush without spacers and clear the optional M Performance big brake kit.
Forged 6061-T6 aluminum monoblock. Available in 18-inch for a period-correct profile, or 19-inch for a more aggressive stance. Custom spoke design -- a deep-concave split-spoke, a modern mesh, or a full custom profile. Brushed, polished, hyper silver, satin black, gloss gunmetal, bronze, or custom color. The F20 and F21 are the last rear-drive 1 Series, and their wheels should reflect that. Machined or laser-etched logo. Private-label packaging. Your Spec. Our Factory.
