The G20 3 Series sedan and G21 wagon represent the current generation of BMW's compact sports sedan -- launched in 2019 with a fully digital interior, the latest turbocharged engines including the B58-powered M340i, and a chassis that BMW tuned to win back the driving enthusiasts who criticized its predecessor. The G20 and G21 mark the generational shift to the 5x112 bolt pattern, breaking from the 5x120 that defined the 3 Series for decades. The factory wheels are 18-inch through 20-inch cast and forged units. A forged monoblock upgrade reduces unsprung mass and sharpens the chassis response that BMW worked hard to restore in this generation.

The 5x112 fitment is a clean-sheet design for the G-chassis. The offset accounts for the wider track compared to the F30, the large M Sport brake calipers on the M340i, and the fender clearance under compression across the sedan and wagon body styles. The M340i's staggered setup with its wider rear wheels demands precision offset to fill the arches without rubbing.
