The G42 2 Series coupe is the current generation of BMW's compact rear-wheel-drive platform -- and the only small BMW that still puts power to the back wheels. The M240i is the performance flagship, powered by the B58 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six making 382 horsepower with xDrive all-wheel drive as an option, delivering 0 to 60 in under four seconds in a car weighing just over 1,600 kilograms. The G42 marks the transition to the 5x112 bolt pattern shared with the G8X M cars, and the factory wheels are 18-inch or 19-inch cast and forged units that leave weight on the table.
The G42's fitment is a clean-sheet design, not a carryover from the F22. The 5x112 bolt pattern is new to the 2 Series platform. The offset accounts for the wider track of the G42 compared to its predecessor, the large M Sport brake calipers on the M240i, and the fender clearance at full compression. The staggered setup runs a wider rear wheel to accommodate the wider rear tire that the B58's torque demands. Our offset is measured on a real G42 M240i chassis through the full steering and suspension range. The wheels sit flush without spacers and clear the optional M Performance brakes.
Forged 6061-T6 aluminum monoblock. Available in 19-inch for maximum sidewall compliance or 20-inch for the aggressive modern stance. Custom spoke design -- a deep-concave mesh, a split-spoke, or a modern multi-spoke. Brushed, polished, satin black, gloss gunmetal, bronze, gold, or custom color. The G42 M240i is the closest thing to a modern BMW driver's car in the compact segment, and its wheels should match. Machined or laser-etched logo. Private-label packaging. Your Spec. Our Factory.
