Front Mount Aluminum Turbo Intercooler Replacement
APPLICATIONS For Honda Civic 1.5L 2016+
The 1.5T in the tenth-generation Civic is one of the best small turbo engines Honda has built, and it is also one of the most sensitive to intake charge temperature. The factory intercooler is a thin, low-mounted core with plastic end tanks, sized for a commuter duty cycle rather than for repeated full-throttle pulls. That is fine on a stock car. Add a tune, a hot day, or a long climb, and the core heat-soaks quickly -- intake temperatures climb, the ECU pulls timing, and the engine stops making the power it made on the first pull. This Aluminum Turbo Intercooler replaces the factory unit with a larger, all-aluminum core built to hold charge temperatures down.
The upgrade uses a bar-and-plate core with TIG-welded aluminum end tanks, which handles higher boost pressure than the factory tube-and-fin design without flexing, and provides more internal surface area for heat transfer. Cooler, denser charge air lets the ECU run its intended ignition advance instead of retarding for protection, so a tuned Civic keeps hitting its numbers on the third pull rather than fading. Owners also notice sharper throttle response, because the compressor is no longer working against a heat-soaked cooler.
Installation uses the factory mounting points and charge pipe connections -- no cutting, no fabrication, and fully reversible. Fitment covers the tenth-generation Civic (Civic X), 2016-2021, with the 1.5T L15B7 engine across sedan and hatchback bodies. Type R fitment available separately. Polished, black, or custom finishes, with private-label programs for dealers and workshops. That's Fupower. Custom everything.
